Russian Senior Championships: Still No Sole Leaders
Draws were made on first tables.
On October 10, the fourth round of the Russian Senior Championship was played in Grand Hotel Zhemchuzhina, Sochi. Yuri Balashov, Evgeni Vasiukov, Vladimir Zhelnin, Alexander Lisenko, Nikolai Pushkov, and Evgeny Svehsnikov lead the Higher League with 3 points. Seven players are half a point behind.
The women’s event is headed by Tatiana Ivanova, Natalia Ruchieva, Ludmila Saunina, and Elena Fatalibekova, who have scored 3.5 points each. Three participants are trailing by half a point.
