Russian Sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov Meets Andrey Filatov, Sergey Karjakin, Mark Glukhovsky
The guests also visited the Museum of Sport.
On Tuesday, February 28, Russian Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov met the RCF President Andrey Filatov, Vice-World Champion Sergey Karjakin, and RCF Executive Director Mark Glukhovsky. The minister asked how Russian leading players prepare to most important international events. Sergey Karjakin told him about his competitive plans and preparation schedule, which should result in acquiring the optimal form for the 2018 Candidates tournament.
Andrey Filatov and Mark Glukhovsky told the minister about developments in junior and mass chess, charity project Chess to Orphanages, and the traditional school team event Belaya Ladya, which turned international a couple of years ago.
After the meeting, Filatov, Glukhovsky, and Karjakin took a tour of the State Museum of Sport.
