Russian Team Makes Draw with India in Round 6 of World Chess Olympiad in Batumi

On September 30, the sixth round of the 43rd World Chess Olympiad was played in Batumi. 

In the open event, the Russian national team drew the match with India. The games Nepomniachtchi - Anand, Harikrishna - Kramnik, Vitiugov - Vidit, and Adhiban - Jakovenko were drawn. 

Azerbaijan and Poland are leading the pack with 12 match points. Russia is three points behind. 

The Russian women's team lost the match against Armenia 1-3. Alexndra Kosteniuk and Valentina Gunina made draws, while Aleksandra Goryachkina and Natalija Pogonina lost. 

The USA, Georgia 1 and Armenia are the leaders with 11 points. Russia is trailing by 3 points.

In round 7, the Russian men's team will play with Serbia, while the Russian women's team  will face Greece.
