Russian Team Wins Match Against England in Round 10 of World Chess Olympiad in Batumi

On October 4, the tenth round of the 43rd World Chess Olympiad was played in Batumi. 

In the open event, the Russian national team won the match against England 2.5-1.5. Vladimir Kramnik celebrated victory, while Sergey Karjakin, Ian Nepomniachtchi, and Nikita Vitiugov made draws. 

The leaders are China and the USA with 17 points. Russia is trailing by 1 point.

The leaders's matches in the ultimate round will be as follows: USA - China, France - Russia, and India - Poland.

The Russian women's team tied the score with Ukraine. The games A. Muzychuk - Kosteniuk, Goryachkina - M. Muzychuk, Gunina - Ushenina, and Girya - Zhukova were drawn.  

China is leading the pack with 17 points. Ukraine, USA, and Armenia are 1 point behind. Team Russia has scored 15 points.

In the final round, the following leader matches will be played: Russia - China, USA - Ukraine, and Armenia - Georgia 1.

The final 11th round starts at 10 a.m. (Moscow time).
