Russian Youth Chess Solving Championship Takes Place in Sochi

A technical meeting was held as well.


The first event of the Russian Youth Championship, a chess solving competition (open and girls under 11 and 13 years old), was held in the AquaLoo resort in Sochi. 

Results:

Girls U11.

1. Viktoriia Kharitonova (Arkhangelsk Oblast), 2. Anna Ugoshkina (Moscow), 3. Mariia Biketova (Kamchatka Krai).

Girls U13.

1. Victoria Merkulova (Moscow), 2. Kira Vyshinskaya (Volgograd Oblast), 3. Zlata Mokeeva (Tatarstan). 

Open U11. 

1. Daniyar Farzaleev (Tatarstan), 2. Georgiy Polyachkov (Primorsky Krai), 3. Egor Knyazkov (Tambov Oblast).

Open U13. 

1. Oleg Tsaplin (Yugra), 2. Grigory Filin (Moscow), 3. Maksim Kharitonov (Arkhangelsk Oblast). 

The event will be continued with the Russian Youth Blitz Championship. Before it, the Tournament Director Alexander Tkachev and Chief Arbiter Evgeny Shamov held a technical meting.
