Sergey Karjakin Awarded Winners of Moscow Open Junior Events

Nikita Kim and Natalia Pochinok also took part in the ceremony.

Sergey Karjakin, Vice-World Champion and RSSU Alumni took part in the award ceremony of the winners of junior events of the 13th RSSU Cup – Moscow Open 2017. Nikita Kim, First Vice-President of Moscow Chess Federation, and Natalia Pochinok, Rector of RSSU, joined him at the ceremony. 

More than 740 players participated in the schoolchildren tournament. The winners of age groups received grants covering their participation in the upcoming Junior World Championship in Romania (April 2017).

Boys Under 13 – Maksim Zhukov (Nizhny Novgorod)

Girls Under 15 – Ekaterina Gyrgenova (Ulan-Ude)

Boys Under 15 – Dzhabrail Kamaev (Dagestan)
