Sergey Shipov Recalls Year 2015

Famous chess grandmaster and expert Sergey Shipov summarized his chess impressions from previous year in a long article on crestbook.com. According to Shipov, the most brilliant competitive episode was the World Cup final between Sergey Karjakin and Peter Svidler in Baku. He named Vladimir Tukmakov a trainer of the year, and Yakov Prizant, trainer of Ilya Makoveev, received praise as the best junior trainer of the year. The breakthrough of the year, according to Sergey, is Wei Yi in men's chess and Aleksandra Goryachkina in women's chess. He also named the RCF website the best chess site, and not for the first time.
