Two best teams of each pool advance to knock-out stage (Play-off). The quarterfinals will be played on the 13th of September, the semi-final on the 14th of September, and the Final on the 15th of September.

Andrey Filatov, CFR President, Head coach of the Russian national men's chess team:

- I am very glad that FIDE decided to hold the Online Olympiad for the second year in a row because the chess calendar is not fully restored yet. As a reigning champion, the Russian national team feels extra responsibility before the start. We have strong opponents in our pool; however, our players are traditionally well-prepared and primed for victory. I wish the best of luck to our athletes!
