Ugra Becomes Russian Women’s Team Blitz Champion

Sima-Land Ural wins the open event.


The Russian team blitz championships among men, women and seniors finished in Grand Hotel Zhemchuzhina, Sochi. The time control was 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per move increment starting from the first move.

Sima-Land Ural (Sverdlovsk Oblast) won the open event with 26 match points out of 30. Fighters for the Idea (Moscow, 2nd place) and Ladya (Tatarstan, 3rd place) are two points behind. Final standings


The women’s event was won by Ugra (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Ugra) - 16 team points out of 20. This year, the team set a record having won the Russian classical, rapid and blitz championships. DSTU (Rostov Oblast, 2nd place) and Kimmeria (Crimea, 3rd place) both have got 12 points. Final standings

Sima-Land Ural (Sverdlovsk Oblast) excelled in the seniors’ tournament with 24 match points out of 24. The Chess Federation of the Central Federal District is second with 16 points, while ShSM-Legacy Square-Prosveschenie (Moscow) is third with 14 points. Final standings
