Evgeny Vasiukov is among the leaders at the European Seniors
Four rounds are played in Eretria.
The European Senior Championship is underway in Eretria, Greece. There are two age groups: 50+ and 65+; men and women play together.
Grandmaster Evgeny Vasiukov leads in the 65+ group together with Nona Gaprindashvili (Georgia), and IM Jan Rooze (Belgium), all having 3.5/4. Five players including the Russian grandmaster Nikolai Pushkov are half a point behind.
In the 50+ group English grandmasters Keith Arkell and John Nunn and the Georgian GM Zurab Sturua are leading with 3.5 points. Seven players including the Russian WGM Svetlana Mednikova collected 3 points.
