Vladimir Putin Awarded CFR Management, ACF President, Outstanding Coaches and Grandmasters

For their great contribution to the development and popularisation of chess.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky to the President of the Chess Federation of Russia Andrey Filatov for his great contribution to the development and popularisation of the national chess movement.

The Order of Honour was awarded to the 2023 World Women's Blitz Champion, Grandmaster Valentina Gunina; the Order of Friendship was awarded to the Chief Coach of the Russian women's national chess team, Grandmaster Sergei Rublevsky, the coach of the Russian national team, Grandmaster Alexander Riazantsev, and the Head Coach of the Russian national teams, Grandmaster Sergey Janovsky.

The medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", II class, was awarded to the Executive Director of the Chess Federation of Russia Alexander Tkachev.

For his great contribution to the popularisation of chess both inside and outside of Russia Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhbut Al Nahyan, the President of the Asian Chess Federation, was awarded the Order of Friendship.
