Winners of Best Chess Photo Contest Awarded in Moscow

They received rare chess wine sets from the Art Russe Grand Cru collection.


The winners of the Best Chess Photo in 2019 Contest organized by CFR were awarded in Mosocw on December 27. 

Contest jury determining the winner consisted of CFR Executive Director Mark Glukhovsky, CFR PR Director Kirill Zangalis, Editor-in-chief of the 64 - Chess Review Maxim Notkin, the Chess Museum curator Dmitry Oleynikov, and a famous sports photographer Sergei Kivrin. 

Winners in different nominations:

Portait - Dmitry Ikunin 

Game - Anastasiya Karlovich

Children - Boris Dolmatovsky 

Amateurs - Maria Emelianova

Story - Maria Emelianova

Series - Lennart Ootes.

The organizers also established two special prizes which were given to Vladimir Barsky and Eteri Kublashvili. 

The contest winners were entitled to rare chess wine sets from the Art Russe Grand Cru collection. This set was jointly put together by Chateau La Grace Dieu des Prieurs (Saint-Emilion, France) and the CFR’s partner Art Russe Foundation, which owns the largest collection of the Russian art dating back to the late XIX – XX centuries.
