World Cup: Return Games of Round 3 are Played

Carlsen, Kramnik, and Nakamura are eliminated.

On September 10, the second games of Round 3 of the FIDE World Cup were played in Tbilisi.

Magnus Carlsen did’t managed to win on demand in his match against Bu Xiangzhi and therefore the reigning World Champion is leaving the World Cup. Daniil Dubov eliminated Vladislav Artemiev, Wesley So defeated Francisco Vallejo Pons, Vladimir Fedoseev outplayed Hikaru Nakamura, Peter Svidler bested Alexander Onischuk, Wang Hao won against Yuriy Kuzubov, while Vladimir Kramnik lost to Vassily Ivanchuk. 

Maxim Rodshtein has auhomatically advanced to the next round.  

Maxim Matlakov won back in his match with Levon Aronian, and they are going to determine the stronger one in additional games. 

On Septermber 11, Vachier-Lagrave - Lenderman, Li Chao - Rapport, Nepomniachtchi - Jobava, Caruana - Najer, Grischuk - Navara, Ding Liren - Vidit and Giri Sethuraman will play tie-break matches as well.
