13th World's Youth Stars tournament started in Kirishi
IM Maksim Chigaev (2496) is the highest seed.
The 13th Vanya Somov Memorial is opened in Kirishi. Best young players from Russia and foreign countries commemorating tragic departure of the talented Vanya Somov, young chess player from the Leningrad Region.
The traditional round-robin tournament gathers the following line-up:
IM Maksim Chigaev, IM Alexey Zenzera, IM Semen Khanin, IM Kirill Kozionov, and FM Andrey Esipenko (all – Russia), FM Thore Perske (Germany), FM Giorgi Sibashvili (Georgia), Valeriy Kazakovskij (Belarus), FM Abdulla Gadimbayli (Azerbaijan), FM Marek Matyas (Czech Republic), FM Ariel Erenberg (Israel), and Svetlana Tishova from Kirishi.
The games start at 3 pm Moscow time.
