Alexander Zhukov Wins a Blitz Tournament in Duma
The event was scheduled to commemorate the Victory Day.
On May 14 an open blitz tournament was held in the Russian Duma, commemorating the 70-year anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
There were 16 participants, including the Deputy Speaker Alexander Zhukov, Deputy Chairman of the Science Committee Akhmat Erkenov, and Regional Affairs Committee member Dmitry Khorol.
The tournament was a 7-round Swiss. Alexander Zhukov won the first place.
All players received diplomas signed by the legendary grandmaster, World Champion, and Duma Deputy Anatoly Karpov.
