Aleksandra Maltevskaya Wins World Junior Girls Championship

The FIDE World Junior Championship finished in Gebze, Turkey.
Parham Maghsoodloo (Iran) won the open tournament with 9.5 points out of 11. Puranik Abhimanyu (India), Sergei Lobanov and Andrey Esipenko (both from Russia) scored 8.5 points. Due to additional criteria, Puranik Abhimanyu is second, while Sergei Lobanov is third.
Aleksandra Maltsevskaya (Russia) and Gulrukhbegim Tokhirjonova (Uzbekistan) shared 1-2 places in the girls' tournament. Thanks to her superior tie-break, Aleksandra Maltsevskaya became the world junior champion. Nino Khomeriki (Georgia) won the bronze medal with 8 points. Dinara Dordzhieva (Russia) also scored 8 points and took the fifth place.
