Alexey Sarana Wins Vladimir Dvorkovich Memorial

A stage of the Russian Cup 2018 dedicated to the memory of the prominent chess arbiter Vladimir Dvorkovich finished in Taganrog. The winner is GM Alexey Sarana who scored 7.5 points out of 9. Sergey Volkov, the Russian Champion-2000, also gained 7.5/9, but became second due to the inferior tie-break. Dmitry Bocharov (3rd place), Ilia Iljushenok, Artyom Timofeev, Aleksei Pridorozhni, Aleksander Moskalenko, Dmitry Kryakvin, and Alexandr Triapishko are half a point behind.
Best results in categories: seniors - Yuri Balashov, women - Tatyana Getman, and local chess players - Alexander Chernyavsky.
