Magnus Carlsen Leads Blitz Tournament in Leuven
And catches up with Wesley So in a combined standings.

A blitz part of the Grand Chess Toor stage started in Leuven. On the first day, 10 grandmasters played 9 rounds according to the round-robin system. Having scored 7.5 points, Magnus Carlsen grabbed the lead. Vladimir Kramnik has got 6 points. Anish Giri is half a point behind.
In a current standings, after rapid part and the 1st day of blitz, the leaders are Wesley So and Magnus Carlsen with 18.5 points. Anish Giri is 2 points behind.

On Sunday, July 2, the ultimate 9 rounds of blitz will be played. In case of a tie, a play-off match will be organized.
