Master Alexander Kopylov Wins Russian Guard Championship

The Ural team was represented by private Alexander Kopylov, international master from Tyumen Canine Center, police captain Sergey Pasechnik, head of the medical center of Surgut Special Police Force, and police master sergeant Sergey Antonov from Troitsk.
Alexander Kopylov was unrivaled in the individual competition, winning the championship with the perfect score. He became the first Russian National Guard chess champion in history. Junior sergeant Maxim Trushin (Siberian District) was second, Vyacheslav Tatekhin (Central District) was third.
