Russians Enter Field of FIDE Online World Youth Rapid Championships
The final stage starts on December 19.
The final stage of the FIDE Online World Cadets & Youth Rapid Chess Championships among boys and girls under 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 years old will be held on December 19-23.
The final stage is a knock-out event with 16 players in each age group.
Russia is represented by the chess players, who qualified from the all-Russian and European tournaments, as well as by the participants with personal rights, namely:
Aleksandr Usov (B10), Ivan Zemlyanskii (B10), Savva Vetokhin (B12), Ivan Saveljev (B12), Volodar Murzin (B14), Erdem Khubukshanov (B14), Andrey Esipenko (B18), Diana Preobrazhenskaya (G10), Victoria Merkulova (G10), Valeria Kleymenova (G12), Alexandra Shvedova (G12), Veronika Shubenkova (G14), Leya Garifullina (G16), Alisa Nur-Mukhametova (G16), and Elizaveta Solozhenkina (G18).
Schedule:
December 19 - 1/8
December 20 - quarterfinals
December 21 - semi-finals
December 22 - final and the match for the third place.
The rounds begin at 6 PM (Moscow time).
Each match consists of two "15+10" games and the Armageddon, if necessary.
